The Escape Race

AGENT
RECALL.

Ten years ago, a quiet network of field operatives went dark and vanished into the streets of El Paso—regular jobs, regular names, regular lives. Three days ago, they surfaced again, and they’re not the only ones looking.

You have three hours. A case box. A city. Assemble your team, follow the trail, and bring them home before it goes cold.

Operation Outbreak’s biggest live event. One night only.

What is an Escape Race?

Real puzzles.
Real people. Real stakes.

This isn’t a scavenger hunt you play alone on your phone. There’s no app walking you through clues while you stare at a screen in a parking lot.

An Escape Race is a live, city-wide event. Your team gets a physical case box packed with custom-built props: ciphers, photographs, hidden messages, and objects that don’t make sense until suddenly they do. Every clue leads somewhere real—a park, a storefront, a stranger on a street corner who might be exactly who you’re looking for.

Because the people you’re searching for are real. Live actors, stationed across El Paso, waiting for your team to find them, say the right words, and prove you’re one of the good guys. Get it right, and they hand over what you need. Get it wrong, and you keep looking.

This isn’t a walking tour. It’s a three-hour sprint across the city, built entirely from scratch—every prop, every location, every actor, assembled specifically for Agent Recall. When it’s over, it’s gone. There won’t be another one like it for six months.

This is the biggest thing we’ve ever built. Come find out why.

Registration

The case
is full.

Every available team slot for Agent Recall has been claimed.

We knew the Borderland had a few good detectives left in it. We just didn’t expect this many of you to answer the call this fast. From everyone at Operation Outbreak, thank you. You’ve officially made our biggest operation yet a sold-out one.

Know before you race

Questions,
answered.

Every good detective asks questions before the trail goes cold. Here are the ones we hear the most.

How much is it?+

Forty-five dollars a head. Cheap for a night you won't stop talking about.

What do we win?+

Cash. The take depends on how many teams answer the call — the more of you sign up, the bigger the payout. The final number gets announced once registration closes on October 6th. First team to bring every agent home wins it.

What is the time frame of the event?+

Saturday, November 7th, 3 to 6 PM. Three hours, start to finish. Once the sun starts going down, so does your time. There's an after-party once the dust settles — where, we're not saying yet. You'll find out when you need to.

When do we check in?+

Check-in runs the week of the race. Exact hours will be set once registration closes — we'll send word.

How soon do we need to register?+

Registration closes October 6th — or the moment every team spot fills, whichever comes first. We're capped at 40–60 teams total. After that, the list is final and the doors don't reopen. Don't wait on this one.

Where do we check in?+

Operation Outbreak, 4530 Montana Ave, El Paso. Come with your whole crew — we don't hand out clues to half a team.

Will there be driving involved?+

Yes — this case takes you across the whole city, on foot and behind the wheel. Some stretches are close enough to walk; others mean getting back in the car. Every team needs at least one licensed adult driver riding along. We're not sending anyone out looking for missing agents without someone legally allowed to drive them there.

How many players per team?+

As big or small as you like, but 4–6 runs best — small enough to fit in one car keeps the whole crew working the same angle. Bigger outfits are fine, just stay in contact between vehicles. There's only one set of clues to go around.

Can we add more people to our team after we've already booked?+

Sure can. Anyone looking to join a team that's already locked in just buys their own ticket and enters the exact same team name at checkout — spell it exactly the same, or you'll end up as two separate outfits working the same case blind to each other. That's the only way we'll know to keep you together.

Why is this priced higher than a regular Operation Outbreak escape room?+

This isn't a room you can walk into every weekend. This is a one-night operation — new case, new city, new faces, built by hand for this run only. Three hours instead of one, real people stationed across El Paso, a case file built from scratch. Six months from now, this case is closed for good and a new one opens.

What happens once a team wins?+

The race doesn't stop just because someone crossed the line first. Every team gets the full three hours to finish their own case, win or not. But when the clock hits six, it's over — every agent is accounted for and headed home for the night, found or not.

What is the cancellation policy?+

Much like theatre or concerts, there are no cancellations or refunds. We can transfer your booking to another person if needed. Rain or shine, the operation proceeds as planned.

What do we need to bring the day of the event?+

• Valid ID for every adult on the team — check in with your entire team present • A fully charged smart phone (or two) • Car phone chargers — a dead battery doesn't solve anything • Pen and paper, for those who like doing it the old-fashioned way • Bottled water and snacks • Comfortable shoes and clothes fit for the weather — you'll be on your feet and in the car in equal measure

Is this a family-friendly event?+

Absolutely — bring the whole family in on it. Every stop is kid-friendly, even the ones that happen to serve a drink. The after-party is a different story: that one's 21 and up, ID required.

Will we need to sign a waiver?+

Every player signs a waiver, no exceptions. Bring ID to check-in. Want to sign ahead of time? We'll send it your way by email.

Behind the experience

El Paso born.
City proud.

Operation Outbreak has been El Paso's only locally owned escape room since 2017 — family-run, city-proud, and behind some of the most talked-about rooms in the Sun City. Agent Recall is our biggest swing yet — everything we've learned building rooms, scaled up and turned loose across an entire city for one night only.
